Egypt reschedules liquid gas imports until 2026 due to a poor question
Egypt has asked suppliers of liquid natural gas to postpone scheduled shipping for the rest of 2025, in a move that reflects a decrease in consumption compared to previous expectations. The Egyptian Natural Gust Enterprise (EGAs) asked a number of partners to postpone at least 20 consignments that would be delivered by December, to be rescheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2026, according to informed sources. The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum did not comment on a request for comment beyond normal working hours. For more: Egypt is postponing the receipt of liquid gas delay amid a decrease in electricity consumption. Flexible question … after a jump in contracts. This question represents a shift in the direction of Egypt, which turned into a net gas inspector of gas in 2024, and during 2025 it doubled the volume of liquid gas imports, which benefited from contracts containing flexible clauses that allow schedules to be postponed or adjusted if necessary. The decision comes amid problems to predict the local demand for fuel during volatile periods of the year, especially in light of temperature fluctuations and electricity needs. The Egyptian move could possibly reflect on the global market by releasing additional shipping for the benefit of European buyers, who are experiencing pressure to compensate the Russian guest shortage by liquid gas imports. These potential abundance supplies can contribute to the calming global fuel prices during the winter.
