Ahy: Clean water is one of Prabowo's priorities apart from self -sufficiency of food
Jakarta – Coordination of Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), reviewed the clean water supply and agricultural irrigation project in Kelor Village, Gunungkidul Regency on Wednesday (8/10). This project is an attempt to support self -sufficiency of food and the availability of clean water in challenging areas. “We have seen the groundwater pump directly that can flow about 40 liters per second. This water is clean and able to increase the plant index of two to three crops a year. Agricultural productivity is increasing, the welfare of farmers is also increasing,” Ahy said in a written statement (9/10/2025). Apart from agricultural irrigation, about 10 liters per second of the water supply is also used for residents’ domestic needs. Furthermore, Ahy said his party would continue to encourage cooperation between the central, provincial and district/city governments, so that clean water projects could be expanded to other areas in need in Kelor Village. “The spirit is to ensure the availability of water for the community and agriculture. It is a concrete step for us to strengthen food security and the well -being of citizens,” said coordination of Minister Ahy.
