'Committed to lowering the terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir': AMIT Shah at high-level meetings on safety

Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah chaired a high meeting on the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, October 9, officials said. The meeting was attended by Lieutenant -Governor Manoj Sinha, the Minister of Homes -Minister Govind Mohan, the director of the Intelligence Bureau, Tapan Deka and J&K Police Chief Nalin Prabhat, CRPF DG Singh and BSF Daljit Singh Chawdhary, among other senior officials of the Center and the Union. During the meeting, a review of the security situation in the Pir Panjal region and continued development projects in the UT was undertaken, officials said. ‘Modi government’s unwavering commitment’ The last such assessment meeting on Jammu and Kashmir was chaired by Shah on September 1. The Minister of Home Affairs has confirmed Prime Minister Narendra Modi government’s unwavering commitment to achieve the purpose of a terrorism-free Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the terrorist network cherished by enemies of the nation in Jammu and Kashmir, due to the determined efforts of the security agencies, almost crippled. “Shah also assured that all necessary resources would continue to maintain these efforts. The Union Minister of Home Affairs also said that our security forces would continue to have full freedom of action to threaten any attempt to threaten peace and security in the region,” a statement on the government said.
