Keir Starmer congratulated Premier Modi on his leadership and vision

New -delhi, October 9 (IANS). During his visit to India, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer India congratulated his leadership and foresight. He said I would like to congratulate Prime Minister Modi on his leadership, which aims to become the world’s third largest economy by 2028. Your vision of a developing India is to make it a fully developed country by 2047. Keir Starmer said that everything I saw since I was here is proof that you are on your way to success in this. We want to be a partner on this journey. He said that we sit together in the Commonwealth and the G20 and that we want India to find its rightful place in the UN Safety Council. He further said that it is the most ambitious trade agreement ever signed by India, so I would like to thank Premier Modi for this partnership. This is a big win for both countries. The discussions over the past two days between Indian and British business leaders have been incredibly productive, and there have been strong discussions about collaboration and ideas. The British Prime Minister said it was an honor to host Premier Modi in the UK in July, and I am delighted to visit India a few months later. It is important that we meet in Mumbai, the economic and financial capital of India, because the growth story of India is striking. He said that I considered the recent signed comprehensive economic and Ceta in the UK as an important moment. We are building something new here – a modern partnership that focuses on the future and together exploits new opportunities. In addition to the words written on the pages of the agreement, lies the trust and shared spirit that defines our partnership. He further said that the partnership between India and the United Kingdom in the current era of global uncertainty will serve as an important pillar of stability and economic progress. We also exchanged opinions on peace and stability in the Indo Pacific and West Asia, as well as the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
