BSF detected two important infiltration efforts in 24 hours, seized drugs and weapons

Chandigarh, October 10 (IANS). Borders safety power (BSF) soldiers at the border of Punjab blocked two major conspiracies of drug terrorism from across the border within 24 hours. The quick action and strict vigilance of the soldiers did not allow infiltration efforts to succeed. BSF with Punjab police has received a large amount of anesthetics and Pakistan made weapons in two separate surgeries. BSF troops, who immediately acted on a drone alert, along with Punjab police received a drug called methamphetamine from a field. In another successful midnight operation, BSF seized 7,985 kg of heroin, 290 gm opium and 34 live pack-made rounds (bullets). Earlier Thursday, BSF also arrested an Indian smuggler in two separate operations near Village in the Tarn Taran district Punjab. Two pistols and magazines were recovered from him. It is feared that this consignment of weapons was dropped by Drone by Pakistan. This action was taken based on special information received from the Intelligence Branch of BSF. In the first operation, a joint operation carried out by the BSF and Punjab police led to the arrest of a smuggler hiding in the paddy fields. A gun and magazine were recovered from its place. In another search operation conducted shortly thereafter, another package wrapped in yellow adhesive tape was found in nearby fields. At the opening of this parcel, another gun and additional magazine were recovered. The package also attached a metal loop to it, which is regularly used to drop objects from drones. –Is Bag/ABM Share This Story Tags
