YAHUKIMO – A teacher in Yahukimo, Papua, called Melani Wamea, was killed by terrorists from the Armed Criminal Group (KKB). He was assaulted when he wanted to plant a tree with a group of teachers and students. “The Yahukimo police are currently investigating the attack by a group of OTKs that led to the death of teacher Melani Wamea,” Yahukimo police chief AKBP Zet said, as reported by detics, Saturday (11/10/2025). This incident happened on Friday (10/10) in Holuwon Village, Holuwon district, Yahukimo. At the time, the victim and his fellow teachers and students wanted to perform tree planting activities in the hilly environment around the school.
