Recently, Chanakya accepted the party of the party in front of the RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. It is believed that he can contest elections from the Banka district of the Banka district on RJD ticket. Chanakya Prakash Ranjan was still active in the Belhar meeting constituency even before joining RJD. His father Giridhari Yadav is originally a resident of the village of Baraundhiya under Telwa Panchayat of the Simultala police station in the Jamui district. He conducted his interim studies at DPS, RK Puram, New -Delhi and acquired an economy (Hons) from the University of Delhi. He then completed Master of Public Policy of London. Political journey of Giridhari Yadav Giridhari Yadav was influenced by socialist ideology. He began his political career at the Indian Youth Congress during the tenure of Rajiv Gandhi. Later, inspired by the politics of Vishwanath Pratap Singh, he joined Janata Dal. In 1995 he was elected MLA of the Katoria meeting of Banka at Janata Dal ticket. After this, in 1996, he was a candidate for the 11th Lok Sabha of Banka and became an MP for the first time. After the rift of Janata Dal in 1997, he joined Rashtriya Janata Dal. In 1998 he lost the election against Digvijay Singh with a small margin, but his hold in politics became stronger. In 2000 he became MLA for the second time, in 2004 he became MP in the 14th Lok Sabha election and in 2010 he joined JDU and won the Belhar meeting election. In 2015, he won the Belhar seat for the fourth time. In 2019, he won the 17th Lok Sabha with a record number of votes and re -elected Sabha in 2024.
