Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Saturday that the passenger facilitation center at the New -Delhi Railway Station would be useful to control the sudden increase in crowd on the platform during the festive season. Union Vaishnav Minister wrote on the social media platform, “new initiatives are taken for easy, secure and well-organized movement of passengers at the New Delhi Railway Station.” He further said that this area is divided into the front ticket area, ticket area and post-ticket area, which will control the sudden increase in crowds on the platform. He said: “With the facility of unconditional ticket scorers and automatic ticket -selling machines, tickets will be available quickly and easily.” The Union Minister shared a video on the X handle and informed that a passenger facilitation center at the New -Delhi Railway Station was built for easy movement of passengers. This is a very large area, where, apart from more than 150 male and female toilets, arrangements such as drinking water were made for the passengers. The facility of purified water for drinking was also provided to the passengers in this area. This area can be used by passengers waiting on their train. 18 Hvls fans were installed in this area with seating capacity for 200 passengers and for cooling. The modern 18 CCTV cameras, 5 luggage scanners and 5 door frame metal detectors are also arranged for security. In the video, information was given that passengers who do not have tickets to travel in the train can go to the unconditional ticket window and get their tickets. For the ease of passengers, 22 modern ticketers and 25 automatic ticket -selling machines were also arranged here. According to the Railway Ministry, this center is designed to accommodate about 7,000 passengers, which significantly increases the ease and ease of movement before entering. The new passenger comfort center is divided into a ticket area spread over 2,860 square meters, a post-ticket area spread over 1,150 square meters, and a preserve area spread over 1.218 square meters. -—IANS SKT/
