The mall in Kelapa Gading caught fire early this morning, 14 firefighters were deployed
Jakarta – A fire broke out early this morning in a mall in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. A total of 14 firefighting units were sent to the location. Kelapa Gading chief commissioner Seto Handoko Putra said the fire was initially reported about 00.20 WIB, Sunday (12/10/2025). The fire took place on the 1st floor of the mall. “Around 22.30 Wib turned Witness 1 around the 1st floor area, and then witnessed 1 heard about the sound of a fire hydrant, and Witness 1 immediately informed his colleagues and the leader of the guard to check their respective areas,” Seto told reporters. One of the police officers who obtained the area to secure the area eventually contacted the fire department. “Around 00.30 WIB arrived at the crime scene. On 03.05 WIB, the fire was extinguished,” he said. Seto said his party is still investigating the cause of the fire. Police also installed a police line at the crime scene.
