Sugar industry will get the support of technology, Ajit Pawar told Future Plan

Pune, October 12 (IANS). Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar visited Vasant Dada Sugar Institute in Pune on Sunday, where he discussed various issues related to the state’s sugar industry. While Ajit Pawar spoke to the media, Ajit Pawar said that officials and officers of sugar factories across the state were invited to this meeting. Ajit Pawar said there are many challenges in the sugar industry associated with irrigation problems, phosphate deficiency and the use of solar energy. In particular, the problems faced in the process of installing solar panels on the roofs of factories were discussed. He said the government is considering making these processes easier in the coming time, so that the industry can make maximum use the solar energy. He also said that measures to increase the efficiency of the sugar industry were discussed during the meeting. If our mills become more technically efficient, production costs will lower and farmers have direct benefits. The special thing at this meeting was that the use of artificial intelligence (AI) was also discussed in it. Ajit Pawar said that just as the use of AI is rapidly increasing in other sectors, its use will also be increased in the agricultural and sugar industry. He said that we do not want our agricultural sector to be left in this technological change. He described Vasant Dada Sugar Institute as an important research center of the state. He informed that this institute had increased the incentive amount for farmers this year. Earlier, Rs 9.250 per hectare was given, which has now been increased to Rs 18.250 per hectare. In addition, the remaining Rs 6.750 is paid by the sugar factories, which will give a total benefit of Rs 25,000 per hectare to the farmers. Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar responded to the recent statement of the MLA Sangram hunting, that it was not in line with the ideology of the party. He said the party issued a notice on this statement. No political party can tolerate a person who makes statements against his views. Further steps will be taken after response to the notice. –Is Pim/ABM Share this Story Tags
