Not excavation, the project on JL Fatmati, South Jakarta seems to be the construction of a velocity table

Jakarta -The DKI Jakarta Bina Marga division opened its voice regarding work at the Jalan Fatmati -jalan Kartini Raya intersection, South Jakarta, precisely before the turn to Fatmawati Mar Station. The closure of access at this point was not due to excavation activities, but rather the construction of a speed table. “The work currently underway at the JL Fatmawawati-Jl Kartini Raya intersection (the turn to Fatmati Mar Station) is not excavation work, but rather the construction of a speed table,” said Monday (13/10/20/2025), head of the DKI Jakarta Bina Marga Service. Heru explained that the construction of this speed table had two main goals. First, reduce the velocity of vehicles (traffic alley) in the intersection area. Secondly, it increases the safety and ease for pedestrians when they cross, because the speed table increase is equal to the sidewalk. Browse to continue with the velocity tables of the content, he said, also functioning to connect sidewalks along the road with road islands in crossing areas. Before the implementation, the Highways service coordinated with the local traffic police. The work was performed on October 8-12, 2025, and the traffic flow at this place began to reopen today, October 13, 2025. Heru said the speed table construction was performed at four intersection points on Jalan Fatmati. Two of them were completed, including the one at the Jalan Kartini Raya intersection. “Another point, at the intersection of JL Fatmawati Raya-Jl TB Simatupang (in the direction of Cilandak Town Square), will also be opened for traffic tomorrow,” he said. Meanwhile, the speed table at the Jalan Kartini-Jalan Fatmawati Raya crossing is brought north (H Nawi) tonight and opened for traffic tomorrow night. The last point, at the intersection of Jalan TB Simatupang-Jalan Fatmawati (turn to RS Fatmawati), is expected to be completed at the end of next week. Previously, the excavation project reappeared in the TB Simatupang-Fatmawati area, South Jakarta (Jakel). Residents who pass this road also complain that the excavation project has no end. Based on Detikcom monitoring on the spot, Sunday (12/10), the project is right on the corner of Jalan TB Simatupang in the direction of Block M. A water barrier seems to block the road so that no one can pass. (Bell/Zap)
