The story of Poonam Raut, born on October 14, 1989 in Mumbai, is no less than the film ‘Dangal’. Poonam, who grew up in Borivali West, has been on cricket since childhood. Once Poonam plays street cricket, her father sees her bat. After this, his father sent him for cricket coaching. Father also played cricket with a tennis ball earlier, but due to circumstances, he could not realize his dream of playing for Team India. To maintain the family, he started working as a manager. In a career, Poonam Raut scored 264 runs for India in 4 Test matches at an average of 44, while adding 2.299 runs at an average of 34.31 in 73 ODI matches. During this period he also scored 3 centuries with his bat. Poonam added 719 runs in 35 T20 matches. Poonam Raut’s performance in the ODI World Cup 2017 was brilliant. The second player is Harjinder Kaur, who inspired young girls from India in the weightlifting of women. She won the bronze medal in the Women’s 71 kg weight category in the Commonwealth Games 2022. In this competition, Harjinder lifted 93 kg in Snatch, while he was 119 kg in Clean and Jerk. He won a medal for the country by lifting a total weight of 212 kg. After this, Harjinder set a new national record by uplifting 123 kg in the clean and crazy of the Women’s 71 kg category in the National Weightlifting Championship 2023.
