Odisha Congress Leader Ramchandra Kadam IPS Y. Question for CBI investigation in the Puran Kumar case
Bhubaneswar, October 14 (IANS). Ramchandra Kadam, leader of the Odisha Congress Legislature (CLP), on Tuesday demanded accused Haryana IPS officer Y. an impartial and thorough investigation into the death of Puran Kumar. He said that the people whose names are in the last note of the IPS officer should be arrested and investigated immediately. Kadam said with media that the suicide letter allegedly contains the names of senior officials. These officers are accused of harassment, which is an indication of serious offenses. He said that an investigation should be conducted by a central agency in this case. The leader of the congress accused the Haryana administration of creating such an environment in which a Dalit officer who is fighting for justice was forced to take his life. He said that the family of Y. Puran Kumar should receive complete protection and quick legal relief. The leader of Congress Kadam said: “I am deeply distressed about this tragedy. If the names of senior officials there are in the note, they must be suspended and arrested. This must be a CBI investigation into the case. He said this matter shows the problem of the system. He encouraged the center and authorities to act immediately so that the confidence in the system can be restored. Earlier, the MP of the Congress and leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi in Chandigarh paid tribute to the late IPS Y. Met the family members of Puran Kumar. He demanded justice for the victim’s family, saying that the Haryana government should stop the drama. He said, “An attempt is made to put pressure on the IPS family, that’s not right.” He said the Haryana government should arrest the accused officers and not offend the late IPs. He also called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to act. He said that the chief minister IPS Y. appointed.
