Contaminated well water raises concern in Chhindwara, 60 people fall ill, what is the reason?
Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh is currently in the grip of diseases. In the last few days, children have died after drinking poisonous cough syrup. Now an entire town has fallen victim to toxic well water. It is said that the water in the well was bad, which caused this disease. About 150 houses drank this water, and 60 people had health problems. Treatment is underway… Chhindwara SDM Hemkaran Dhurve says that he has tested 150 families, in which they were found to have poor water. Later, many types of impurities were found in the water test. 60 patients have been admitted to the hospital suffering from vomiting and diarrhea and their condition is critical. What is the reason? According to the SDM, four dead pigeons were found in the well from which the villagers drank water. These dead pigeons are the cause of filth. Apart from this, police investigation found dead animals and birds in many other water sources. However, this raises questions with the Panchayat, who feel that the drinking water sources, water tanks and wells have not been cleaned. Treatment will be given in a temporary hospital. Considering the gravity of the situation, the administration has set up temporary hospitals near the hospital and Panchayat Bhawan for the next two to three days. These relief camps were created to provide special care and timely treatment to people in need. However, doctors believe that all the patients admitted are stable. Share this story Tags
