Help them as best you can, serve them wholeheartedly, serve them sincerely,” he continued. Inspector General Asep said Jakarta is the center of Indonesia’s social, economic and political dynamics with life being busier, faster and full of challenges. “And our job is to maintain order and security. However, I also want to convey that we cannot walk alone. We must improve ourselves and must prioritize a humanistic approach and respond to the needs of society,” he said. Polda Metro Jaya works with all elements of society to increase cooperation to create a favorable situation in Jakarta. One of them is by collaborating with community organizations (ormas). “This is what is interesting, yesterday we met with all mass organizations in DKI, we tried to put precision in our actions, transparency in every process, and integrity in every step we take,” he added. The Regional Police Chief said that his party will continue to strive to improve partnerships with all elements of society, including the media. The Regional Police Chief also said that meetings with the media are not only a way of friendship, but they are expected to work together to make a good contribution to the country. “We hope that the relationship that arises is not only about sharing news, but also communication based on trust and good cooperation between us and all our fellow journalists,” he said. Furthermore, the Regional Police Chief transferred the ‘Guard Jakarta’ program which was his flagship. This program was born out of the hope of realizing safety and order with all elements of society. The Jakarta protection program has four pillars, namely the protection of the family, the protection of the environment, the protection of the rules and the protection of the trust. “It must be led by all levels of Polda Metro Jaya to serve the community. We have translated these pillars into various activities carried out,” he concluded. (mea/dhn)
