The first arrest took place during the search, while the second during naka check. The police registered the case and started investigation to find out where the heroin came from and where it would be delivered. Jagran Correspondent, Udhampur. The Majalta Police are continuing their crackdown on drugs and have arrested two smugglers in two separate operations. The police found 10.69 grams of heroin from both. The police arrested both of them under the NDPS Act. Majalta police station team during regular naka duty in Battal area stopped Scooty number JK14J5544 going from a Manwal to Battal. During interrogation, the scooter driver identified himself as Mohammad Sharif, son of Mirza Khan, resident of Dhaiman, Majalta. During the search, the police found 5.69 grams of heroin on him. Similarly, in another case, while patrolling near Majalta turn, the police stopped a person after seeing him in a suspicious condition. During interrogation, he revealed his name as Ghafoor Ali son of Mohammad Sadiq, resident of Dhaiman, Tehsil Majalta. When the police searched him, the police found 5 grams of heroin.
