Madhya Pradesh: MLA and BJP leader bought from pavement traders, urges Swadeshi

Ujjain, October 17 (IANS). On the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Vocal for Local’ and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, an initiative has been taken to promote indigenous products in Ujjain. In this series, Ujjain North Assembly constituency Anil Jain and BJP city president Sanjay Aggarwal themselves encouraged ‘Vocal for Local’ by purchasing various materials from local traders doing business on the footpath. Public representatives were seen openly buying goods in the markets at Freeganj and Kola Phatak. The aim of this initiative is to promote local production and use of indigenous goods, so that the country can become self-sufficient. During this, the MLA said that on the call of the state chief minister Mohan Yadav, we are taking forward the Swadeshi movement which has been going on for many years to make the country self-reliant. Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and all senior leaders insist that there should be awakening of Swadeshi within the country. He further narrated that in this sequence he reached sister market and bought native goods. In particular, lamps made of clay by the Prajapat brothers were purchased, as well as prasad and other indigenous products. The Chairman emphasizes that the purchase was made so that the production that takes place within our country can be sold in our country. If we all continue to do this together, the country will become self-reliant and never bow to any foreign power. We will become the pinnacle, and Bharat Mata, of which we speak of reaching the pinnacle of ultimate glory, will happen only when we become self-reliant and India will reach the pinnacle of the world. This initiative of the public representatives has seen enthusiasm among the local retailers, and this move will strengthen the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign at the grassroots level. –IANS MS/DKP Share this story Tags
