Job creation is our priority, employment fair will be organized in every district: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah
Mysore, October 17 (IANS). Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday inaugurated the Youth Prosperity Employment Fair organized by the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood in Mysuru. During this he said that I am not PM Modi who can break his promise. PM Modi promised to create 2 crore jobs per year and broke his promise. He said that Prime Minister Narendra was supposed to create 22 crore jobs in these 11 years but he lied. Talking about service allowance, Siddaramaiah said that pay attention to the rumors spread by the opposition. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah again clarified that the youth fund allowance of job seekers will be stopped only after they get the job. Targeting BJP, he said that we will not lie like them. During this he gave details of the posts filled by the government and the posts filled in the employment exchange. He said that in the last two and half years, as a result of the employment fair organized by our government in Bengaluru, 58,892 job seekers participated in the employment fair and gained benefits and awareness. He said that out of these 11,507 candidates have received appointment letters and 22,819 candidates are shortlisted. He said that 120,563 candidates participated in the job fairs organized in the districts, 24,391 candidates got appointment letters and 48,232 candidates were selected. He said that the previous government completely ignored the job seekers. But in these two and a half years since our government came to power, 28,000 vacancies in government jobs have been filled. He informed that 35,000 posts have been approved.
