Khesari Lal Yadav nomination rally thieves target participants steal phones and chains

Since morning, a large crowd of candidates and their supporters had gathered in the assembly premises and on the main roads of the city. Candidates of all major parties from Manjhi, Ekma, Baniapur, Amanour and Gadkha constituencies turned up to file nominations on Friday, which saw the entire city in election colours. Famous Bhojpuri film actor and singer Shatrughan Kumar alias Khesari Lal Yadav filed nomination from Chhapra Assembly as a candidate of Grand Alliance. During this time the atmosphere completely changed into celebration. The crowd of thousands kept shouting slogans in his support. The uncontrollable crowd of supporters defied the security arrangements of the assembly premises. The police had to use mild force to bring the situation under control. There was a situation of scuffle and chaos in some places. Sadar SPD Ram Pukar Singh, Traffic SPD Santosh Paswan and other senior police officers remained at the spot and continuously monitored the situation. Robbers took advantage of the crowd and stole cell phones and gold chains from many people.
