All India Institute of Ayurveda celebrates 9th foundation day, treats more than 30 lakh patients

New Delhi, October 17 (IANS). All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), which functions under the Ministry of AYUSH, celebrated the 9th Foundation Day of the Institute with great enthusiasm at its campus in New Delhi on Friday. This event was a symbol of the institute’s excellence in the field of Ayurveda, research and commitment to healthcare. The chief guest of the program was Lok Sabha member Ramveer Singh Bidhuri. On this occasion Prof. (Vaidya) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, Director, AIIA, senior officers, faculty members, students and other guests present. The celebrations began with the lighting of the lamp and Dhanvantari Vandana, through which wishes for health, prosperity and well-being were expressed. In his address, Chief Guest Ramveer Singh Bidhuri congratulated AIIA for completing a successful journey of nine years in Ayurvedic education, research and service to patients. Recalling his long association with the institute, he said that when the foundation of this institute was laid with Sushma Swaraj and Bhairav ​​Singh Shekhawat, he was also a part of that historic occasion. He said that Delhi is surrounded by diseases from all sides but the All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi is giving relief and new hope to thousands of patients every day. The patients who come here come with worried faces and come back with healthy smiles. During the programme, AIIA director prof. (Vaidya) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati in his speech highlighted the achievements and contributions of the institute. He said that in the last nine years, AIIA has created its own identity in the field of Ayurveda, not only in the country but also at the international level. He expressed his gratitude for the contribution of the former Directors, who led the Institute to continuous progress. The director requested MP Bidhuri to construct a divider near the hospital, so that the movement of patients can become easier. He also suggested that the name of ‘Onida Bus Stand’ should be changed to ‘AIIA Bus Stand’ so that the general public can easily reach the institute. AIIA has achieved many remarkable achievements in the field of Ayurvedic medicine and research during the last nine years. The institute has so far treated more than 30 lakh patients and provided specialized medical services through 44 specialized Ayurvedic clinics. Apart from this, seven new health and wellness centers have been set up across the country. AIIA has also strengthened global cooperation by signing 73 national and international MoUs. On the occasion of the foundation day, a hawan ceremony was organized in the morning at Dhanvantari Vatika, in which teachers and employees of the institute participated. The day concluded with a cultural program presented by the students and staff of AIIA, which showcased the rich tradition of Indian culture and Ayurveda. –IANS pim/vc
