Long line of devotees formed in Kuber temple of Mandsaur on Dhanteras, special puja organized
Mandsaur, October 18 (IANS). On the occasion of Dhanteras, a large crowd of devotees was seen in the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Kubera located at Dholgiri in Khilchipura, Mandsaur. A special event was organized in the temple on the occasion of Dhanteras. Long queues of devotees were seen inside the temple to offer water to Lord Shiva and have darshan of Lord Kuber. Devotees also performed special prayers and chanted mantras to fulfill their wishes. Former Mandsaur MLA Yashpal Singh Sisodia, who was present in the temple, spoke about the Dhanteras festival and the faith of the temple in a special conversation with IANS. He said that the temple is very old and people have been coming here for years to have darshan of Lord Shiva and Lord Kuber. On this occasion he prayed to God for the welfare of the country and the nation. Astrologer Rakesh Bhatt told that a special event was organized in the temple on the occasion of Dhanteras. On this day especially Lord Kuber is worshiped along with Lord Dhanvantari. Devotees participated in the puja and prayed to God for happiness and wealth. Let us tell you that the temple of Lord Shiva and Kuber present in Dholgiri in Khilchipura is very old. It is said to be the second temple in the country after Kedarnath, where Shiva is present along with Lord Kuber. Lord Shiva is present in the temple not alone but with the entire Shiva family. Lord Kuber is said to have been present in this temple with the Shiva family since the Gupta period, fulfilling every wish of the devotees. The special thing about this temple is that the sanctum sanctorum built in the temple is never closed. The temple remains open for devotees throughout the year. For this reason, devotees come from far and wide to worship Lord Kuber and Lord Shiva. There are many stories about the history of the temple. The temple is said to be from the Gupta period and came here by flying. This temple has no foundation. This temple was renovated during the Maratha period and thereafter Lord Kuber is worshiped here every year on Dhanteras.
