India's international identity has changed in recent years: business executive
New Delhi, October 18 (IANS). Sandeep Gambhir, CEO, Vertelo, said at the NDTV World Summit that the event serves as a powerful platform to discuss India’s emerging role in the global economic and technological landscape. In a special conversation with news agency IANS on Saturday, Gambhir described the summit as an excellent confluence of ideas and leadership. He described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech as encouraging and said it will play an important role in creating an environment for the country’s ambitions in the coming year. He said the choice of speakers and themes reflected the instability and change taking place at various levels in the world, especially in the areas of technology, infrastructure and mobility. Gambhir said there was an in-depth discussion on infrastructure and commercial vehicle industry in today’s session. We are all seeing a growing transition from fuel based two-wheelers, three-wheelers and passenger cars to electric vehicles and now electric trucks are also joining the race. He said the summit provides an opportunity for industry stakeholders to engage with policymakers and technology leaders, creating a collaborative approach in line with India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat mission. Referring to the growing spirit of Swadeshi, he said it is heartening to see government efforts, industry innovation and consumer confidence coming together to promote self-reliance in various sectors including electric mobility, artificial intelligence and clean energy. He emphasized the importance of youth participation in emerging technologies, reflecting the prime minister’s emphasis on energy security and digital transformation. He said that at the grassroots level, the slogan of independent India has become a nationwide movement. It is not only about independence, but also about sustainability and becoming a world leader. We are confidently moving forward in this direction. On the global impact of Prime Minister Modi, Gambhir said that India’s international identity has changed in the last year. He further said that today when we travel abroad, people consider us to be from Prime Minister Modi’s country. Such recognition is a matter of pride for every Indian.
