'Kantara: Chapter 1' star Rishabh praised his wife Pragati and said, 'Played dual role, masterstroke on both fronts'

Mumbai, October 18 (IANS). South Indian film actor Rishabh Shetty’s film ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ released recently. He gets a lot of positive response for this. Rishabh Shetty’s wife Pragati worked as a costume designer in this film. While talking to IANS, Rishabh Shetty praised her a lot and also told how she handled both domestic and film work very well. Kannada cinema superstar Rishabh Shetty said, “Pragati had to work on two fronts. She is a designer in Chapter 1 and also had to run the house, so she played dual roles. She also had to take care of the kids at home and look after their studies.” He further added: “Many times I had to shoot very risky scenes, so there was tension for him too. So it was very difficult to handle. Also as a designer, on the set, he had to ensure that the design and color of everyone’s dress matched the story of the film. He did that very well.” Earlier, while talking to IANS about the film, Rishabh Shetty said that he has made several drafts of this film. He said, “In the first part, we didn’t write many drafts. We wrote 3-4 drafts and finished the script in 3-4 months. After that we started shooting immediately. It was very easy. When we made the prequel, we started the discussions. We started with the story of Shiva’s father, we completed that script. But the first part needed such a back story, a little bit. Let’s keep it as a start, don’t make it as a legend doesn’t last.'” When asked if there were 7-8 drafts or more, he said, “No, I think there were 15-16 drafts. Yeah, it’s about 15-16 narratives, so I’d say it was 15-16 narrative drafts.” ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ is a prequel to the film ‘Kantara’. This film is written and directed by Rishabh Shetty. It was released on October 2. –IANS JP/DKP Share this story Tags
