The peculiar thing is that due to the long process of checking and entering passengers at the time of entering the station, passengers remain stranded for a long time. Due to this, the problems and queues are constantly increasing. No stay allowed on the New Delhi railway station platform. New Delhi railway station has the highest rush of passengers. During festivals, it becomes one of the busiest stations in the country. For the convenience of passengers, the railway administration has created a temporary holding area here so that passengers arriving without tickets or before time do not have to go to the platform. The seating and accommodation arrangements in this area are limited, while the crowd of passengers is unlimited. As a result, the system falls short. Despite this, there is a large crowd of passengers on the platform during train time. There is a lot of pushing and shoving as the train gets on and off. This is the situation when the railway management has restricted the sale of platform tickets and only passengers with confirmed tickets are allowed to enter. It is difficult to get a seat in trains going from Delhi to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Bengal. Many passengers are forced to travel only by taking waiting tickets. Ritesh, who was going to Patna, told that he had a reservation in Purva Express yesterday, but due to the crowd, he could not board the train. Today he has to go on general ticket. Kanchan Srivastava, who was going to Varanasi, asked that when everything is known in advance why the system is not made accordingly. Why are passengers made scapegoats every time? Pressure on Old Delhi, Anand Vihar and Sarai Rohilla stations too: Due to the excess of passengers going to Purvanchal and Bihar, the crowding at Anand Vihar Terminal, Sarai Rohilla along with Old Delhi railway station has also increased. Railways have created temporary holding zones at both these stations for crowd control and passengers have been requested not to reach the stations much earlier than the scheduled time of the train. Despite this, the influx of passengers is so high that security forces have to control access by erecting barricades. Railway officials say on an average, more than two lakh passengers go out of Delhi every day during the festive season. To maintain discipline on the platform, additional personnel from RPF and GRP were deployed. There are jams inside and outside the Kashmiri Gate bus station, there are buses inside and cars outside, along with train travel, the condition of bus travel is also very bad. The situation at the bus station is no less challenging either. There is jam inside and outside the bus station. It is currently difficult to get a seat in the bus going from Kashmiri Gate ISBT to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Himachal. Additional police personnel have been deployed inside the bus station to deal with any untoward situation and to facilitate passenger safety. Digital screens have been installed to provide information about the arrival and departure of the bus, so that passengers can know the correct time of the bus. But due to the late arrival of the bus and chaos in the parking area, passengers cannot get information on time. There is always a jam situation on the road due to cars, taxis and private vehicles outside the bus station. Same is the situation at Anand Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan bus station.
