Traders balloon in Bintaro gets caught in 15 meter tree, firefighters intervene

South Tangerang – A balloon belonging to a freelance trader got stuck in a 15 meter high tree on Jalan Emerald Bintaro, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang (Tangsel). The Tangsel fire brigade (Damkar) helped to evacuate the balloon. Adam Dohiri, head of the fire brigade in South Tangerang, said the incident took place on Saturday (18/10/2025) at 23.10. First the balloon seller drove a motorcycle, then the balloon came loose. “The balloon man was driving a motorcycle, maybe he usually walks like that, the balloon string came loose and then there happened to be a lot of trees on the road. So it got stuck in a tree at a height of about 15 meters,” Adam told journalists on Sunday (19/10). He might ask the fire department to help him get the balloon. It’s also hard for people to see what to use for a 15-meter-tall tree,” he said. Not long after, the Fire Department went straight to the location to help the trader. With the help of a tool in the form of a stick, dozens of balloons were eventually successfully evacuated. “So, finally the alpha rescue team intervened and went to the location and in the end it was business as usual, with the help of ladders and other equipment they were able to save the balloon. The balloon worker was also affected because if the balloon was lost, he would not be able to eat his wife’s children,” he said. From the video received by detikcom, it appears that Damkar used a ladder and climbed to get the balloon. With minimal lighting, using a flashlight, the balloon was successfully evacuated. (azh/azh)
