Arrested, Pajero driver with viral police plate using strobe, turns out not to be police

Jakarta – It has gone viral on social media that the driver of a Pajero car with a National Police service plate uses a siren and strobe when driving on the toll road. The driver allegedly wanted to overtake other car drivers during traffic jams. In the video seen on Sunday (19/10/2025), the Pajero driver sounded the siren. The Pajero driver also challenged other drivers who recorded videos. “Hayang (want) to go viral? No need to be like that,” the Pajero driver said in the video. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT “Stick… stuck… stuck…,” says the video recorder. The police also stepped in to check. The police finally succeeded in arresting the driver of the viral Pajero. Uploaded by the official Divpropam Polri account, the Pajero driver was apparently not a member of the National Police. The National Police service plate used was also fake. “Regarding this incident, we can clarify that the driver of the black Pajero with a Polri plate is not a member of the Polri. After checking, the plate used was fake and not registered in the Polri database,” explained the Police Divpropam. The National Police emphasized that this step was taken to maintain the safety of road users. “Currently we have secured the vehicle and driver for further processing. This step has been taken to maintain the comfort of road users and prevent misuse of police features,” the Divpropam Polri account wrote.
