No matter how many attacks are carried out, neither the people of Bengal nor the BJP workers will be afraid: MP Raju Bista
Siliguri, October 19 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Raju Bista attacked the West Bengal government and TMC after the attack on him. He said that the TMC people in power are hurting the pride and heritage of Bengal. BJP MP Raju Bista, while targeting TMC, said that neither the people of the state nor the leaders and workers of BJP will be afraid of the attacks taking place in West Bengal. Speaking to IANS, Raju Bista said, “No matter how many attacks they carry out, the people of Bengal, BJP leaders and workers are not afraid of these people.” Referring to the recent natural disaster like floods and landslides in North Bengal, he said that BJP leaders are going to the affected areas and meeting the people, helping them and providing necessary materials. He demanded: “I say that the Election Commission must also think about the situation in West Bengal. The Commission must also ensure that the voters in the state get the opportunity of free and fair voting. Unless free and fair elections are held in West Bengal, the correct figures will not come out. From the President to the Government of India must also think about this.” Regarding the attack on Raju Bista, BJP leader Agnimitra Paul says, “Today if any BJP MP and MLA goes to help someone, he is shown a black flag or even attacked. Mamata Banerjee claims that she stands with the tribals. But our tribal MP Khagen Murmu is attacked and our MLA Shankar Ghosh is attacked on Saturday, a Raju Bista. MP from outside the area, was also attacked. There was a beating. Khagen Murmu’s name is mentioned in today’s FIR. We all saw who was in the video, but not one person was arrested.” –IANS DCH/ Share this story Tags
