Pajero driver using fake strobe plate in Bandung turns out to be a Tasik resident
Jakarta – The arrogant driver of the Pajero car with National Police service plates that went viral on social media on the Pasupati Flyover, Bandung, is believed to be not a member of the police. It turned out that the driver was known to be a resident of Tasikmalaya. In the viral video, the Pajero is seen driving recklessly and using sirens and flashing lights when overtaking other vehicles. Tasikmalaya City Police Chief AKBP Moch Faruk Rozi confirmed that the driver and vehicle owner had absolutely no connection with the National Police Establishment. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT “We secured it, it turns out it was not a member of the National Police, it was a citizen. Then we ordered the license plate, flasher and siren to be removed. Thank God they were removed,” said Faruk, reported by detikJabar, Sunday (19/10/2025). The Pajero driver has the initials AR (37), a resident of Tasikmalaya City, who works as a driver. Meanwhile, the owner of the car has the initials I, and is also a resident of Tasikmalaya. “AR is the driver, the owner of the car has the initials I. They are our residents (Tasikmalaya City), but the incident happened in Bandung. Both of them are not members of the National Police,” Faruk explained. Currently, AR is still undergoing investigation at the Tasikmalaya City Police Headquarters. He also made a video explaining and apologizing for his actions. “He also made a video in which he apologizes to the public and the National Police establishment for using a number plate that was not intended,” said Faruk.
