People's School students and teachers are getting laptops distributed from this month

South Tangerang – Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf alias Gus Ipul said that students at the People’s School will receive laptops. The devices will be distributed starting this month. Gus Ipul explained that the laptops were provided as facilities at the People’s School to support learning at the school. “This is all under President Prabowo’s order. Then the school equipment is completed and 1 student gets 1 laptop. It is still in process, the procurement is completed,” Gus Ipul said when he visited SRMA 33 South Tangerang together with Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Sunday (19/10/2025). In addition to students, teachers at the People’s School also received laptops. “When will it reach the students? God willing, October 27 to early November. God willing, it will arrive in 2025. The teachers will also get it, not just the students,” he said while asking the head of the General Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Salahuddin Yahya. Apart from laptops, Sekolah Rakyat students living in dormitories receive eight sets of school uniforms. Then they also get three meals a day and two snacks. Furthermore, Gus Ipul said that many students at the People’s School are still in the academic process. However, they can be admitted to the Garuda school if they have high grades. “Later, those who are smart can be enrolled in Garuda schools if they really meet the requirements,” he said. (idn/idn)
