Police bust ECHS card scam, arrest four

Noida, October 18 (IANS). Noida Police Station Phase-2 has exposed a gang making illegal profit by fraudulently misusing the ECHS cards of ex-servicemen and getting patients admitted in hospitals. The police arrested four accused in this case. Four mobile phones and photocopies of seven ECHS cards were recovered from their possession. According to the police, the arrested accused used photocopies of ECHS cards of ex-servicemen to get fake patients admitted in various hospitals based on the names and addresses recorded on those cards. Before admitting the patients, they took an advance amount from their family members and got the fixed amount back after the patients were discharged. In this way, the accused earned money illegally for a long time. During interrogation, it came to light that one of the accused, Pradeep, was working in a hospital in Noida and from there the entire network got facilities. Police said that all these accused did not stay in one place due to fear of being caught and kept changing their location. At the same time, to hide their activities, they only used WhatsApp calls instead of regular calls, so that the police could not trace them. The arrested accused have been identified as Danish, resident of village Khanuda, police station Aurangabad, district Bulandshahr, age 21 years, education D-Pharma; Pradeep Gaur, resident of village Bhavsi, police station Aurangabad, district Bulandshahr, age 23 years, education class 12, Sumit, resident of village Bhavsi, police station Aurangabad, district Bulandshahr, age 33 years, education class 12 and Puran Singh, resident of Mohalla Chipiwada, village and police station Aurangabad, district Bulandshahr 3 years, education district 6 years. a case has been registered against the four accused in Police Station Phase-2 Gautam Buddha Nagar.
