Farmers in Madhya Pradesh will give only 10 percent amount for solar pumps: CM Mohan Yadav

Bhopal, October 18 (IANS). Farmers of Madhya Pradesh received a big gift on the occasion of Dhanteras. Farmers will now have to pay only 10 percent of the total cost of solar pumps instead of 40 percent. This announcement was made by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav during the farmers’ conference organized at the Chief Minister’s residence. A large number of farmers gathered in the farmers’ conference organized at the chief minister’s residence. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that farmers should pay 40 percent of the amount towards solar pumps. This amount is also high, therefore the government has decided that the farmer will now only pay 10 percent of the total amount. Currently, a solar pump costs about five lakh rupees, out of which farmers have to pay 40 percent, about two lakh rupees. Now only Rs 50 thousand will have to be paid. Chief Minister Yadav mentioned the Bhavantar scheme implemented for the soybean farmers of the state. He said soybean farmers suffered losses due to excess rains. The soybean crop has not even been fully harvested and the state government is paying the loss amount to the farmers. According to the reports coming from all the districts, the amount is paid into the farmers’ accounts. While discussing the government’s decisions for the farmers, CM Mohan Yadav said that the state government is giving fair prices to the farmers’ crops. Wheat producing farmers get a price of Rs 2600 per quintal. It will also move forward. It has been informed that under Bhavantar Yojana, soybean producing farmers of the state will be able to sell their crops in agricultural produce markets from October 24, 2025 to January 15, 2026. The state government will deposit the amount of Bhavantar directly into the Aadhaar linked bank accounts of the farmers who are eligible under the scheme of sale. The registration work of farmers for Bhavantar Yojana on the e-procurement portal has been completed by October 17 so that no eligible farmer is deprived of the benefits of this scheme. –IANS SNP/DKP Share this story Tags
