Burnt body of a woman found on the side of the highway in Haridwar could not be identified

Haridwar, October 18 (IANS). There was a sensation when a burnt body of a woman was found on the side of the highway in Ghaziwali, Haridwar in Uttarakhand on Saturday morning. As soon as information about the incident was received, the Shyampur police immediately reached the spot and started investigation. The police took the body into their custody and sent it for postmortem. The body was badly burned, making it extremely difficult to identify the deceased. The police are identifying the body. Initial suspicion is that after brutally murdering the woman, her body was burned with petrol or some other flammable substance with the aim of destroying her identity. The police officer said that when the local people were driving along the highway on Saturday morning, they saw the burnt body of a woman. The news that the body had been found spread throughout the area. It was the local people who informed the police administration about the body. While talking to the media, SP City said that the police are thoroughly investigating all aspects. The main objective of the police is to secure the identity of the woman as soon as possible and reach the killers. Currently, the police have registered a case of murder and are looking for unknown accused. The police have now sought information about recently registered missing cases from all nearby police stations and districts so that the deceased can be identified.
