Born Again Season 2 Release Date Revealed

Disney+ has officially revealed the release date for Daredevil: Born Again season 2. Daredevil: Born Again was the triumphant TV return for Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, following Daredevil’s and his fellow Defenders’ undeserved cancellations on Netflix in 2018. Although the revamped series hit a few roadblocks during production, the first season of Born Again proved to be one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s bloodiest stories yet.

Now, Daredevil and his allies prepare for the fight of their lives against Mayor Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) anti-vigilante forces, with season 2 premiering on Disney+ on March 4, 2026, exactly a year after the debut of season 1. Although an early March release date has been rumored for a while, the news has now been published on Disney’s Daredevil: Born Again press site.

The official release date means that Born Again season 2 will be the second Disney+ MCU show to debut next year. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s Wonder Manoriginally scheduled to premiere in December, has been pushed to January 27. Paul Bettany’s VisionQuest is also slated to premiere in 2026, although an exact release window has yet to be revealed.

Daredevil: Born Again’s second season will consist of eight episodes, with more on the way in an already-confirmed third season.

Cox will be joined by fellow Netflix Defender Jessica Jones, with Krysten Ritter making her official return as the moody, super-powered PI. Also returning are Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page, who will have a more significant role to play this season, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, D’Onofrio’s Fisk, and even Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson, who was shot and killed in Daredevil: Born Again‘s traumatizing pilot.

Whereas Born Again season 1 was meticulously pieced together from different productions and scripts — most noticeable in the fun but somewhat irrelevant episode where Matt meets Ms. Marvel’s father during a bank heist — the upcoming season was free to build its narrative arc from scratch. Executive producer Jesse Wigutow recently shared that season 2 has a “clarity of vision,” nor Fisk’s anger threatens the entirety of Matt Murdock’s favorite city.

“I think what people care about are these two characters and the conflict that they’re in, how deeply they hate each other, and how deeply they need each other,” Wigutow explained.

Fisk’s power and influence may be vast, but can Matt Murdock really lose, with Jessica Jones and his other allies at his side? (Remember, two other Defenders could potentially show up to help save the day, too.) We’ll find out soon enough when Daredevil: Born Again season 2 premieres next year.
