Chief Minister Fadnavis paid tribute to the martyred policemen, presented a wreath

Mumbai, October 21 (IANS). On the occasion of the Police Memorial Day, tributes were paid to the martyred policemen at a function held at the premises of the Naigaon Police Headquarters in Mumbai. On this occasion, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid floral tributes at the Martyr’s Memorial and paid tribute to the brave policemen who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. A salute and parade was also organized at the ceremony, in which the disciplined and proud presence of the police force was seen. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met the families of the martyred police officers and personnel on the occasion and recalled their bravery and described their sacrifice as invaluable to the state and the country. He said, “The sacrifice of our policemen always inspires us. Their bravery and dedication is an example for the safety and peace of the society.” During this, he reiterated the government’s commitment to the welfare of the police force and support to their families. A parallel program was also organized at Dadar Police Ground, where officers, citizens and dignitaries gathered. The celebrations began in the morning with a floral tribute led by Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti. On this occasion, Maharashtra Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, senior officers of various police units, public representatives, dignitaries and families of martyred policemen were present. The occasion remembered the bravery and sacrifice of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the security of the country and the maintenance of law and order. Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla in her speech said, “Police Memorial Day gives us an opportunity to remember those heroes who have shown their unwavering devotion to duty. Their sacrifice inspires us for devotion to duty and service to the country.” Mumbai police commissioner Deven Bharti also underlined the contribution of the martyrs and said that the police force will always be dedicated to the community. On this occasion the policemen showed their discipline and readiness by parade and salute.
