Oscar-winning film that’s ‘nothing short of a masterpiece’ showing free on TV tonight



Fans can watch the multi-award winning blockbuster for free as it is airing on television this weekend
A multi-Oscar winning film that has been described as ‘nothing short of a masterpiece’ is on TV tonight.
The sci-fi hit Everything Everywhere All At Once became a cinematic darling, earning widespread acclaim and accolades. Any film fan who hasn’t yet witnessed the bizarre multi-dimensional adventure will be able to for free this weekend.
That is because the film is listed for broadcast on Channel 4 at 10pm this Saturday, December 7. It will come as welcome news for many as it will also be made available on the broadcaster’s streaming platform on the same day.
Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels, the film is a humorous and big-hearted sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman, played by Michelle Yeoh, who can’t seem to finish her taxes.

She soon discovers that an interdimensional rupture has unraveled reality and she must channel her newfound powers to fight bizarre and bewildering dangers from the multiverse as the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
The film won a total of seven Oscars. This included wins for Best Director, Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing.
It only picked up a Best Editing award at the BAFTAs in the same year. However it became a firm favorite for many after its release in 2022 and stands at a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
One critic didn’t mince their words upon its release saying: “Everything Everywhere All at Once is one of the greatest films of all time. Entertaining, hilarious, emotional, wild, unique, action packed and INSANE.” Another agreed that the film is made for true cinema lovers, adding: “Everything Everywhere All at Once will remind you of why you love cinema. It is fresh, creative, and will leave you laughing and shedding some tears.”
Most fans are also in agreement that it is a special film, with one posting on Rotten Tomatoes: “Everything Everywhere All At Once is a modern cinematic masterpiece from a lesser-known filmmakers is done very genius way depicted of a mother/wife life of ‘what ifs’ (sic),” adding that it was “an experience to watch.”
While some viewers have admitted to not being keen on the genre bending at play, those who still haven’t seen it are urged to add it to their must see list. As one fan puts it: “It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ is nothing short of a masterpiece in my eyes.
“Having seen it so many times it still keeps my eyes glued to the screen with fun action, a creative way of taking on the multiverse trope, fantastic acting, and some of the best film editing in modern cinema. But the story and themes will have me in tears every time. The movie manages to be endearing, funny, heart breaking, existential, and heart warming all at the same time. There is no movie quite like this one.”
