The police arrested three accused – Rohit, Lucky and Sandeep. Rohit shot Afroz after an argument. Sandeep was also involved in criminal cases in the past. The police arrested three accused who were involved in the incident. The pistol used in the murder was also recovered. The arrested accused have been identified as Rohit alias Bhanja alias Dharmendra (28), Lucky (21) and Sandeep alias Kabootar (28). Remove Advertisement Read Only News Rohini District Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajeev Ranjan said that a PCR call was received at the Kanjhawala police station at around 6:54 am on Tuesday morning. The informer informed that a person was shot in Mahavir Vihar. The police team that reached the spot found the body of a youth lying in an empty yard. Azad, the caller, identified the deceased as his brother Mohammad Afroz alias Babu (25). There were bullet marks on the back of Afroz’s head and chest. Crime scene and FSL team were called to the location to collect evidence. Based on Azad’s statement, the police registered a case under relevant sections. Investigation revealed that deceased Afroz was drinking alcohol along with his friends Rohit, Sandeep and Lucky on Monday night. During this there was an argument between the two and Rohit shot Afroz with a country made pistol in anger. Afroz died instantly. After this, the three accused fled. Based on the information, a police team raided the spot and arrested the three accused. The country-made pistol used in the murder was recovered from the main accused Rohit. During interrogation, Rohit confessed his crime. He told that he fought with Afroz while he was drinking and in anger he opened fire. Lucky and Sandeep were present at the spot and they were the ones who carried out the incident. Investigation revealed that accused Sandeep alias Kabootar was previously involved in two cases: one of robbery and the other of attempt to murder, which were registered in 2021 at Prem Nagar and Kanjhawala police stations. The other two defendants have no criminal record. Police said that further investigation is underway. Afroz got married a year and a half ago and leaves behind his wife and innocent daughter. There is mourning in the family of Afroz alias Babu due to his death. He got married just one and a half years ago. Afroz has a nine-month-old daughter, while his wife is three months pregnant. There is chaos in the house. The family members are unconscious and crying bitterly. Family members say that Afroz was hardworking and cheerful. He had no idea that friendship would take his life.
