Hindu-Muslim unity is the real strength of the country: ST Hasan
Moradabad, October 21 (IANS). Former Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Dr. ST Hasan has taken a strong stand on the Shaniwarwada Namaz controversy in Pune, Maharashtra, calling it politics of religious hatred. Speaking to IANS, SP leader ST Hasan said it is the misfortune of the country that when someone prays, people object to each other. He said, “The creator is not different. Hindus were not created by anyone else and Muslims were not created by anyone else. All have the same creator. Then what was the condition of the place where Namaz is offered? Even the MP cannot control the place there. She came with her people and got the place ‘purified’. Why is the whole world mocking it?” ST Hasan looked at Nitish Rane’s statement to recite Hanuman Chalisa at Haji Ali Dargah. He said, “If Nitish Rane will read Hanuman Chalisa at Haji Ali Dargah, then we don’t think anyone will stop him. But, under the pressure of other forces, you are forcing the second largest population of the country to think that this period of India is the worst, which would never have happened before.” Supporting Azam Khan’s statement that ‘those who light a lamp can light anything’, he said: “Azam Khan sahib is right. A person lights a lamp because he has a history.” Making the call, he said, “This is the time to be united. If we are not united, the powers of the world will not let us live. Hindu-Muslim unity is the real strength of the country.” –IANS SCH/ABM Share this story Tags
