Gus Ipul visits Pontianak Social Health Center, ensures that social assistance funds are right on target
Jakarta – Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) today visited the Social Welfare Center (Puskesos) in Sungai Jawi Luar Village, West Pontianak District, Pontianak City, West Kalimantan. This visit was carried out to ensure the consolidation and updating of social assistance data on target, in accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 4 of 2025 on Single National Socio-Economic Data (DTSEN). “The accuracy of this data is largely determined by the updates we carry out. And the spearhead is in the Social Health Center, in the cadres, or social pillars, in the social assistants, in the SLRT officers, the Integrated Referral Service System, also in the RT RW, and also of course community figures,” he said in a written statement, Wednesday/202/510. He also expressed his appreciation to field officers who worked hard to update beneficiary data. “Accurate data is very much determined by the officers in the field. With this way of working, I honestly appreciate it, give it respect, we will get appropriate data in the field,” he continued. He emphasized that social data is dynamic because there are changes every day, from births, deaths, marriages, to population movements. “So the synergy of cooperation between all of us in Jakarta, Pontianak and in various regions is really needed,” he said. Furthermore, Gus Ipul explained that Puskesos plays an essential role in accommodating reports from the community as well as carrying out verification and follow-up of proposals for aid recipients. Currently, there are 12 active social health centers, one of which is the Sungai Jawi Luar sub-district social health center established in 2022 with 4 officers. He also hopes that the implementation of Presidential Instruction Number 4 of 2025 can eliminate sectoral egos between institutions, both at the central and regional levels. “It is hoped that we will join hands, we will no longer be ego-sectoral, we will not go our separate ways with different data, but we will use one Indonesian data,” he added. During his visit, Gus Ipul also had a dialogue with a number of beneficiaries, one of whom was Rohima from Palima Village who graduated from social assistance and is now an entrepreneur making chips. “It’s called graduation, it means that if you leave, it will give opportunities to people who still need it,” he explained. In line with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive, he emphasized that beneficiaries not only receive social protection but also encouragement to become independent through empowerment programs. Besides ensuring data updates, Gus Ipul’s visit also aims to check whether the distribution of Temporary Direct Cash Assistance (BLTS) amounting to IDR 300 thousand per month to the Sungai Jawi Luar Social Health Center is progressing according to the target. This assistance is part of the Social Protection Program which will be provided during October-December 2025. “So the distribution is again based on data, we continue to update our data, like now, before we distribute it, we first coordinate with BPS. Because the latest data already has decile 1, decile 2, decile 3, up to decile 4,” he concluded. This BLTS program aims to reach 35.04 million beneficiary families (KPM), or about 140 million people if calculated with an average of four per family member. (acn/ega)
