Golkar on Prabowo Ultimatum of Naughty pastors: A wise step
Jakarta – Golkar Party Secretary General M Sarmuji has responded to President Prabowo Subianto giving his ministers an ultimatum not to be warned three times if they do not want to be reshuffled or replaced. Sarmuji said if it could not be repaired, feelings of pity for the minister should be put aside. “If it cannot be repaired, then of course orientation towards the people should take priority over feeling sorry for the ministers,” Sarmuji said on Wednesday (22/10/2025) at the Golkar DPP, Jakarta. Because it is not only a question of firmness, but also of providing opportunities for improvement for the ministers. “Pak Prabowo, President Prabowo said that if he was warned three times, a reshuffle would be carried out. That would be a wise move,” he said. “On the one hand there is firmness from the President, but on the other hand it offers the opportunity to make improvements three times,” he added. Previously, Prabowo reminded ministers to work properly and not commit abuse. He warned his ministers that if they were warned three times they were still ‘naughty’, they would be replaced. “My subordinates are great, aren’t they? If there are one or two naughty ones, I’ll warn them, right?” said Prabowo when he gave a scientific speech at the public senate session of the National University of the Republic of Indonesia (UKRI) at The Trans Luxury Hotel, West Java on Saturday (18/10). “One warning is still naughty, you still don’t want to listen, two warnings, three times, it’s okay to move,” he continued. Prabowo will not be afraid to face the ‘thieves’ in this country. He believes the people are after him. “I have no doubt, I will face corruption, criminals, thieves, I will face it with my brothers and sisters. I’m sure, I’m sure the Indonesian people are behind me, I believe it,” he said. (ial/azh)
