Air Quality Index (AQI) has increased in Delhi-NCR. In such a situation, only CNG and Volvo BS-6 buses can be operated there, whereas on normal days, 400 buses are operated from various depots here. These include regular, CNG, Volvo BS-6 buses. Due to reduced operation of buses, there will be huge loss of revenue from roads. Roadways earns a revenue of around Rs 72 lakh per day from the Delhi route. In fact, the Delhi government had earlier given instructions to all the states to run BS-6 and CNG buses to curb pollution. If the Delhi government bans buses, only nine Volvo and 150 CNG buses will be able to operate from Uttarakhand. Talking about Dehradun ISBT, 100 buses are run daily. Which includes 18 Volvo, 40 CNG and other regular buses. Roadways bought buses, but mostly on hilly routes. Roadways purchased buses at different times, but most of them ran on hilly routes.
