However, the MBG portion can be increased if it is intended for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and toddlers. “The maximum number of school children is 2,000, with an additional 2,500 for pregnant women, nursing mothers and toddlers. If there are certified cooks, the number could be up to 3,000,” he said. Dadan said the BGN technical guidelines will be issued in the near future. In previous implementations, most SPPGs cooked more than 3,000 servings. “The latest to be released,” he explained. Earlier, Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Nanik S Deyang unveiled the Presidential Regulation (Perpres) regarding the management of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBP), which will be socialized in the near future. One of the presidential regulations is that it prohibits kitchens from cooking food before 00.00 or 12 at night. “For example, just one example of petty management, the Food Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) is no longer allowed to cook before 12 at night, it has to cook at 2 in the morning,” Nanik said when he met after the one-year town hall meeting of the Coordinating Ministry for Food, reported by Antara, Tuesday (21/10/2025). Nanik emphasized that SPPG is also required to cook according to the order or group distribution of beneficiaries in schools, from PAUD to SMA. “For example, if it is sent to kindergarten children in the morning, they will cook it themselves, if it is sent to primary school children later in the day, they will cook it themselves, this is an example of what is included in the Presidential Decree on MBG management,” he said.
