Inaugurate 17 Kajati, Attorney General: Optimize handling of corruption cases in the regions

Jakarta – Attorney General ST Burhanuddin inaugurated and took the oath of 17 prosecutors to become Heads of High Prosecutors’ Offices (Kajati) in a number of regions. Burhanuddin delivered a number of messages to remember for the newly appointed Kajati. The inauguration and the taking of the oath of office were held today, Thursday (23/10/2025) at the Attorney General’s main building, South Jakarta. After inaugurating and taking the oath, the Attorney General congratulated the Kajati. “Congratulations to the newly appointed officials and confirm that the appointed officials are selected individuals who have shown commitment, ability and loyalty to serve the institution, and have gone through an in-depth study process, objective assessment based on performance results and careful consideration,” said ST Burhanuddin during the inauguration and swearing-in process. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT Burhanuddin reminded that this inauguration is not just a ceremony and change of position but a momentum to affirm moral, professional and institutional responsibility for every Adhyaksa person. He said that the Kajati who were inaugurated and assumed office today were given the mandate to lead their new assignments. “Changing officials is also a normal thing in the context of adapting and improving institutional performance, as well as part of the dynamics in efforts to help realize the vision and mission of the prosecutor’s office,” he said. He also asked the Kajati to always fulfill their obligations and responsibilities. According to him, Kajati has a strategic role in law enforcement in the region. Kajati is required not only to uphold the law, but to uphold justice with conscience and courage. He emphasized that the prosecutor’s office must be present as the vanguard to eradicate corruption through firm action, continuous prevention and the improvement of management. “Immediately optimize the handling of corruption cases in each work unit area (Kejati, Kejari, up to Cabjari),” explained the attorney general. Kajati and Echelon II Officials (Fadil/detikcom) Furthermore, he also said that he will evaluate the work units of the High Prosecutor’s Office and District Prosecutor’s Office which are minimal and do not have products for handling corruption cases. He asked the Kajati to demonstrate their performance in handling corruption cases, especially the number and quality of investigations. “Immediately adapt well to the new work unit and carry out duties and functions professionally and proportionately while still paying attention to the norms of statutory regulations,” explains the Attorney General. “Maintain the integrity of yourself and your family, and exercise supervision in your respective work units to realize conduct and speech grounded in manners and ethics as well as the Tri Krama Adhyaksa doctrine,” he continued. Build open communication to strengthen the implementation of duties and functions,” said the Attorney General. “Position should be interpreted as a mandate to work with full integrity, responsibility and commitment for the progress of the institution,” he added.
