With the latest update shared by Netflix and One Piece’s social media accounts, the franchise is poised to show the juiciest glimpses at the landscape and visual wonders of season 2. With previous looks at Laboon from the Reverse Mountain Arc, and now Whiskey Peak in focus, fans can reasonably expect more arcs from Arabasta, with Little Garden next in all likelihood.

With this latest new look, One Piece has shown the intent to overcome doubters and dive headlong into manga-accurate portrayals of even Oda’s most unusual landscapes and visual wonders. The series has yet to truly explore its limits, with Long Ring Long Land, Enies Lobby, Skypeia, Impel Down, and Marineford’s Paramount War being especially ambitious to imagine.

It’s an exciting time to be a fan of one piece, and Netflix’s live-action adaptation is a promising entry in the franchise’s increasing presence among mainstream titles. With the latest looks at Chopper and Vivi, it’s clear that the series is not a carbon copy of the manga, but with Oda’s approval, the spirit of the story shines through.

With the season officially titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, Netflix’s live-action treatment seeks to capitalize on the grandeur of Oda’s odyssey. The Straw Hats will famously meet not one, but two new additions to their crew this season, with previous glimpses at Nico Robin from her days as Miss All Sunday of Baroque Works.

Alongside new crewmates, new dangers await leading to the climactic Arabasta Arc thanks to the criminal syndicate, Baroque Works, led by Mr. 0, aka Crocodile. For newcomers and fans of Mihawk’s character from season 1, he and Crocodile share an interesting connection as fellow Warlords in One Piece. Played by Joe Manganiello, Crocodile will surely be an instant favorite.

But another member of Baroque Works will also be introduced in this arc, namely Nefertari Vivi, under her syndicate codename, Miss Wednesday. Played by Bridgerton’s Charithra Chandran, Vivi is sure to win the hearts of viewers alongside her companion, Karoo. She will also represent the first major kingdom in one piece, of which there are many yet to come.

For the Straw Hats in Netflix’s One Piece season 2, this means new bounties will be earned, new friends will be made, and the stage will be set for the series’ greatest secrets to be uncovered. Beyond Robin and Vivi, fans may find additional favorites among Baroque Works, as Luffy’s quest explores a gorgeous world in One Piece season 2.
