If you are looking for grandiosis dog pioneering art, the with opera’s production of The magic whistle is your number. Directed by Tony and Oscar winner Julie Taymor (The lion king), The English -speaking production is 100 minutes to a high energy shortened. The story follows Prince Tamino, who was rescued from the wrath of a snake by the queen of the night and must repay her by rescuing her daughter with a magical flute. This production – and the Libretto itself – is an excellent one for opera beginners and has a beautiful puppet box to begin with.
