Wall Street Today: S&P 500, Nasdaq Open Lester for Equality Trade War with China; Dow Jones Tanks with 100 Points | Einsmark news

Wall Street’s most important indices opened on Friday, as Markets assessed the latest escalation in the trade war, with China increasing its rates on US imports to 125%. US stocks are shaky as Wall Street’s monstrous week goes to its end. The S&P 500 fell 0.7% on Friday. The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 306 points, and the Nasdaq compound dropped 0.4%. The drops have deleted more of the enormous profits made in the middle of the week after President Donald Trump interrupted rates on many countries outside China. The rising price of gold, falling value of the US dollar and in other financial markets indicates more fear to China’s latest escalation in the trade war. The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 100.2 points, or 0.25%, on the open to 39493.42. The S&P 500 dropped by 12.5 points, or 0.24%, on the open to 5255.56, while the Nasdaq composition dropped 28.8 points, or 0.18%, to 16358,532 at the opening of the first time: 11 Apr 2025, 07:14 IST
