Tahwwur Rana's extradition for the victims of 26/11 A big step toward justice: Jaishankar

New -Delhi, April 11 (IANS). The US has exposed the most important conspirator Tawwur Hussain Rana as a huge success in the terrorist attacks of 26/11. In a position on social media platform X, Foreign Minister Jaishankar said: “I appreciate the cooperation of the terrorism between our two countries. Jaishankar actually responds to the United States Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marco Rubio, when Rana was successfully handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Rubio wrote on X, “We have extradited Tehwwur Hussain Rana to face the allegations for his role in the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai. In collaboration with India, we have claimed justice for 166 people, including 6 Americans, who lost their lives in these attacks.” The US State Department confirmed the extradition on Thursday, repeating the support of Washington for India in search of justice. Spokesman Tammy Bruce said: “On April 9, the United States brought Tehwwur Hussain Rana to India to face justice for his role in planning a 2008 terror attack in Mumbai.” He said: “The United States has long supported India’s efforts to bring those responsible for these attacks in the dock, and as President Trump said, the United States and India will continue to work together to deal with the global terrorism crisis.” He said, “I encourage you to see them and find out how terrible it was in terms of today’s situation.” Earlier, after coming to India on Thursday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) confirmed Rana’s supervision. A Delhi court sent him to NIA for 18 days, the interrogation began from Friday. Rana is a Pakistani-Canadian citizen, who is accused of planning and carrying out the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai and killing 166 people, including six US citizens.
