PM Modi reached Varanasi for the 50th time as MP, said: 'I owe to like Kashi'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Friday, where he addressed a public meeting and launched several development projects for the purpose of promoting urban and rural infrastructure. During the visit, the prime minister also inaugurated and laid the ground stone of several major projects worth Rs 3.880 crore. It was noteworthy that it was his 50th visit to his constituency as MP since 2014. According to the Varanasi Division Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma, projects contain several major schemes made to improve the area’s infrastructure. Out of 44 projects, 25 projects are worth R 2 250 crore, which are committed to increasing the city’s power supply system. This includes the construction of 15 new power stations, the installation of new transformers and the laying of 1,500 km of new power lines. A major attraction in the upcoming developments is a 220 kV substation that must be built near Chaukaghat, which is aimed at ensuring at 24 -hour uninterrupted power supply to the city. This visit from the Prime Minister also brought good news for air travelers, as the plans related to the expansion of the airport are on the agenda. This includes lying tunnels to help with future development and connectivity. ‘Kashi is mine and I am Kashi’s Hai,’ as soon as he reached Varanasi on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took detailed information from the Varanasi Police Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner and District Magistrate about the recent incident of criminal rape in the city. He ordered them to take the strict action against the culprits and put in place appropriate measures to prevent such incidents in the future. The Prime Minister addressed the meeting and said, “I salute my family members of Kashi. I will always be grateful for the love and respect for you all.
