A terrifying video .. an eagle kidnaps a newborn lamb and flying in the sky – ryan

A video clip documented a terrifying moment witnessed by a farmer in the external Hpears Islands, where the sea eagle was able to kidnap the newborn lamb and flew in the sky.

Dunkan McLean, the 40 -year -old farmer, was inspecting his sheep in the early morning when he monitored three marine eagles, two of whom were holding two newborns with their claws.

This incident was not the first of its kind, as McLean had already lost 6 pregnancy this season because of the eagles, but this time it was the most shocking when he saw the kidnapping of one of the lambs directly.

“It is very frustrated to see this with our own eyes. We knew that some lambs disappeared, but seeing this was in fact a very annoying surprise.”

He added: “Every lamb is sold by 80 to 100 pounds, so the loss of two in one day represents a great loss for us.” He also said: “We live in a very small area, where we have 200 tins and 10 cows only, so losing this number of lambs has a great impact on us.”

MacLean indicated that the marine eagles, which were re -introduced to the region in 2007, have become a growing concern for Scottish farmers in recent years.

In the past, these eagles were not a great threat, but now it has become common to see several eagles hovering in the sky at any time.

He explained: “Five years ago, I saw only an eagle or two, and there was no big problem, but at the present time, you will see many of them flying in the sky all the time, and I was with my son in the field this morning to help the garden to give birth, and there was an eagle hovering directly above us as if he was waiting for his chance to pounce.”

“We have noticed a harsh but effective style in hunting, as the eagles are targeting ewes that are waiting for twins and kidnapping the first child during the birth of the second sheep,” McLean added.

He explained, “We are always investigating in the vicinity in search of a dead pregnancy, but we do not find any traces, which makes us believe that the eagles are the ones who take the lambs.”

McLean concluded his speech by saying: “The eagles have become a real problem for farmers in the region, and not only we are the ones who suffer from this problem.”
