Fel Brand, rescue operation continues in Lokbandhu Hospital in Lucknow

Lucknow, April 14 (IANS). A fierce fire broke out on Monday night at the Lokbandhu Hospital in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The fire, which started on the second floor of the hospital, took a formidable form within a few minutes, filled with smoke and flames. Once the fire was reported, there was chaos in the patients, timer and hospital staff. Fire teams are extinguishing the fire and evacuating the patients. According to eyewitnesses, the flames suddenly appeared on the second floor of the hospital at about 22:00. When seen, the smoke became so dense that it became difficult to breathe. Concerns about the safety of patients admitted to hospital, especially children and severe patients, have increased. Doctors and nursing staff immediately started trying to get patients out, but dense smoke made the rescue operation challenging. Six fire vehicles reached the place and an attempt to control the fire. Rescue teams remove patients safely using ropes and stairs. Police and district administration officials are also controlling the situation. No casualties have been reported yet, but the rescue operation is still ongoing. The initial investigation is the cause of the fire as a short circuit. Doctors say their priority is to remove children and serious patients safely. An attempt is made for this. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath immediately noted the incident. He took full information on the situation of senior officials over the phone and ordered that the safety of the patients take precedence. The CM also asked to ensure that no patient should harm. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak herself reached the Lokbandhu hospital and embarked on the rescue operation. Dr. Ajay Shankar Tripathi, medical superintendent at Lokbandhu Hospital, says the fire started around 10pm. The reason for the fire in the investigation so far is described as a short circuit. The situation is under control. There are no casualties yet. Everyone is evacuated. The patients present in the hospital say we are resting. Suddenly the smoke begins to appear. Then the smoke started to crawl around faster. After this, we ran out quickly. Some people are still stranded on the second floor. Information Director Shishir Singh said chief minister Yogi took into account the fire at Lok Bandhu Hospital and took full information about the officials’ incident on the phone. Senior officials and fire crews reached the place. Serious patients will be taken to another center. There is no danger to life and property. On the other hand, several vehicles of the fire department arrived the information of the fire. An attempt was made to break the glass and extinguish the fire. Officials in the hospital also reached the place. The officials could not give a clear reason for the fire. At present, orders have been ordered to investigate the incident. Rescue operation will remove patients in the hospital. But the smoke on the floor is so high that it is also difficult to breathe. However, no casualties or injuries have been reported.
