‘Tron 3’ Director Compares Jared Leto’s Antagonist to Disney’s Pinocchio – ryan

Tron: Ares Director Joachim Rønning has drawn an interesting comparison between Jared leto‘s antagonist in Tron 3 and a beloved Disney Icon. Many would perhaps presume that ares – the rogue ai at the center of the story – would be similar to the classic villains featured in Disney’s Hall of Infame, such as Jafar, Scar, or Even captain Hook, but that is not the case. Rønning told empire that the ares computer program has slightly more complex coding than a traditional baddie, making him more like pinocchio than anyone else.

“Not to be too clichéd, but I always thought about him a bit like Pinocchio. Ares wants to be a real boy. We talked a lot about him almost being an infant, discovering the world for the first time, and how we wanted to see the world through his own. That we take for granted, or don’t see anymore.
